Light Room 2 Beta
I am currently testing the Beta version of Adobe Light Room 2.0 This is the awesome program I use to sort and choose my wedding favorites. I simply load the photos into the library, and scroll through them and choose all the photos I would like to display. It has truly cut my time in half, which means you can see your photos much faster than the old film days.

Denise Dan & Olivia
Triple the fun. I often see that many people simply stop with one image. Why not go beyond what the average person would do and give your photos a touch of you. These three beautiful photo were created special for the couple below. They now have them hanging on their wall a 3 piece canvas art set. Just send me an email or leave a comment if you like them.

Cool Stuff From The Perfect Pose
I just wanted to mention some things we have on our ala-cart price list. You can include these things in your wedding photography packages as well.
1. Album Credits: You can add an album credit to your selected package for more pages, cover upgrades and parent albums.
2. Print Credits: Get credit towards wedding and engagement prints. We offer custom canvas, story boards, metallic, and many other cool print products.
3. Traveling Studio: This is my newest and coolest feature. We set up two lights, a backdrop, and a camera with a remote. Basically, you or your friends step in front of the camera press the button on the remote and your picture is captured. It is the same principal as a photo booth you would see at the beach. (Funny and embarrassing faces our encouraged!)
4. Dress Fitting Session: You don’t see this very often. But think about it. Your dress is one of the most important parts of your wedding day. Why not capture the first time you get to try it on? This is an important moment that most people look over.
5. Bridal Session: We can do this before or after the wedding. Just you and your dress. We can have fun, we can trash the dress. What ever you want to do.
6. Engagement Guest Book: This is a big hit with pretty much everyone. Basically it is a 6×9 book of photos of your engagement session designed in a way that your guests can sign. This is not a typical blank book full of empty pages. This is a representation of who you are.
7. Parent Albums: These are exact duplicates of your wedding album shrunken down to save space and money. Your parents can have a beautiful copy of your wedding album.

10 ways to beat high gas prices
1. Stay in Tune – It’s simple: vehicle maintenance saves gas. Use the recommended motor oil, replace dirty air filters, keep tires — including the spare — inflated to the proper pressure, and tune up your engine.
2. Cool It, Mario Andretti – Flooring the pedal at every green light, then slamming on the brakes at the last minute, guzzles gas at a surprising rate. More moderate driving can save over 30 percent of the gasoline you use.
3. Lighten Up – When summer vacation rolls around, keep the luggage off the roof rack and carry as little weight as possible. Those extra pounds in the trunk or backseat make the engine work harder and consume more fuel.
4. Take a Hike – Do you really need to drive? For shorter trips, it often makes more sense to walk or ride a bicycle. It’s not only good for your wallet, it might also be good for your waistline.
5. Idle Hands – Idling in traffic does nothing to save gas or money, not to mention your stress level. Avoid rush hour or busy commuter routes.
6. Go Shopping – Shopping for a new vehicle? Consider the long-term savings that a hybrid or alternative fuel vehicle might give you. Some cities and states also offer great incentives like rebates, access to carpool lanes and free metered parking for hybrid or alternative fuel cars, trucks and SUVs.
7. Lose the Leadfoot – Driving the speed limit doesn’t just keep the police off your tail. You can save up to 14 percent on longer trips by reducing your speed.
8. Take a Cruise – Using cruise control can yield surprising increases in fuel economy. If your car is so equipped, try using it on the freeway to keep your speed at a consistent rate.
9. Critical Mass – Take the bus, train, subway or other mass transit and leave the car at home.
10. Alternative States – The alternatives to standard gasoline are growing in number and popularity. Biodiesel, the blend of gasoline and ethanol known as E85, and other alternative fuels aren’t available everywhere yet, but check to see if your car can accept what’s sold in your community.

Hot off the press!
Xtra Xtra read all about it! My new studio is in the Cecil Whig. Mark Gardner and I have teamed up to create Xpressions Studio. The local news paper came down and interviewed us a few weeks ago and we made it into the Cecil Business Ledger. Now Mark and I still shoot wedding separately but we decided we need a place to meet our clients and increase our portrait business. So we both worked xtremely hard to put together a very comfortable and relaxing place. It is in North East MD on Main St. Swing by and check us out.

Whats all this talk about Travis making a Movie?
That’s right boys and girls. Travis is making a movie. I have some really cool ideas. I am going to make a movie kind of like Sin City. It will have some crazy camera angles and some funky style editing. I am looking for some actors to help me out. So if you are interested just send me an email and I can give you the scoop. Why? Well I just bought a canon hv-30 video camera and I want to take my photography to the big screen. So check back often for updates, and maybe even a trailer. I will still be doing wedding photography full time. But I need to create some more things for my mind to be at ease. It seems to be if I am not creating something I find myself not being myself.

Wedding From Hell!
Ok, so your asking. What is the wedding from hell? It is totally the opposite of what your wedding will be. ; ) Basically they set up a mock wedding where everything that could go wrong, did. From the bride hating her hair to the over bearing wedding coordinator, the drunk groomsmen, the lost wedding rings and the groom who forgot his jacket. It was a total disaster. But it was a great learning experience. We were taught how to deal with disasters and make everything as perfect for the bride and groom, as we could. So fear not we now have the skills to handle “almost” anything that comes are way.
Jesus, my new friend. And the over bearing wedding coordinator. In his left hand is the must have shot list with about 200 formal photos. With a time limit of 10 minutes. Guess what, that didn’t happen. Were photographers not miracle workers.

Getting ready…

A decorative dress for the bridesmaids. Love the boa.

Bride and groom gone crazy! (but fun)

A perfect ending to a less than perfect day.

Wine tasting in Destin Florida
Ok, so today I went out for a little wine tasting. I found a little place in Destin Florida called “Beyond The Grape”. I sure am glad I did. I bought 4 bottles of wine. And they taste fabulous. They have quite a selection of wine that you can only find there. I purchased “Orange/Coffe” which starts out with a taste of orange, and ends with a taste of coffee. Sound strange? Well, let me tell you it’s awesome. If you are looking for something different, go have a taste. It won’t cost you a thing. But, if you like it and want a whole bottle it’s only $18.99. “Black Gold” which is a wine that taste like you have just picked a fresh batch of blackberries. I think I will drink my bottle while I’m here and pick up a couple more to entertain once I get back to Maryland. $25.99 “Strawberry Blush” guess what it tastes like. Yup, strawberries. I can see myself on a hot summer day, sitting on my deck with a nice cold glass of this. This wine is a must. $21.99 “Hurricane 5″ This is my favorite. It is a white sangria. I can’t wait to have this with dinner. I am sure it will compliment just about any meal. So if you are ever in Destin Fl. Stop by Beyond the Grape and check them out. Their website is www.beyondthegrape.net
Here are a couple pictures

Sunny Florida Wedding Convention
Well, it has been a while since I last posted. But I have been so busy at the largest wedding photography convention in the USA. I learned so much that I just can not put it into words. I met some of the best photographers in the world. I made new friends and met with old ones. All in all, it was a awesome experience! Here are some photos.
Here is where I held up for the week.
This was a model some of us were shooting while waiting for the convention to start.
